Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)

FAA Requirements:

  1. Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate and an Instrument Rating - Helicopter
  2. Obtain a First Class Medical Certificate.
  3. Obtain 1200 hours flight time (see FAR 61.161 for specifics)
  4. Pass a FAA knowledge exam
  5. Pass a FAA practical test
  • NOTE: There are no specific test preparation requirements. Minimum flight time varies with pilot experience and currency.

COST: $2,855

  • 5 hours dual flight instruction
  • 10 hours ground instruction
  • FAA knowledge exam
  • FAA practical test (includes 1.5 hrs helicopter rental)
